Gallery 328
Gallery 328 was looking for a single mark that focused on positive/negative space. Something to symbolize the viewing of art from a variety of conceptual perspectives.
To create something that allowed viewing from different perspectives the term “Mystery” comes into mind. In order to find a solution, one would have to gather evidence, but not every piece is physical in appearance because background-knowledge is unique to every individual. There is a face with the numbers. The bottom half of the 3 as a nose and the eyes are made up by the different halves of the 3 and the 8. The numbers to go from left to right, up to down, to make it easier to read. The Gallery is also designed to further the relationship between artist and audience. If the viewer is able to see the face or not, it could start a conversation.
