I was inspired by the phrase “Butterflies in my stomach” as a way that people interpret like heart skipping a beat when being in love. Can you prove it is love? What if it is a symptom of anxiety? They are surrounded by thoughts, but are the memories good or bad? Memory is warped. The Rorschach Inkblots are scattered though the piece with butterflies because the memory is up to one’s interpretation to decide whether the memory was good or bad.
