Hell on Earth
Signs of the Times Magazine was looking for a magazine spread discussing forest fires. The intended audience is for anyone interested in the environment and the effects of pollution. Mainly at the reading level of older adolescents and above.
A common household item that can lead to devastation, to show the reader that something mundane can hold impact. Since the image is mundane, the title’s font shows destruction. The page numbers’ strokes are thick so that the readers can easily see the page. The title of the magazine and date are thinner stroke and italicized so it stands different from the other text, and if the article is ripped out, say for a high school class reading assignment, it would be easy to identify. The body text is century schoolbook because its type is associated with textbooks.
