October is Long-Term Care Planning month and Salem Nursing Home is having a movie night. Its short film “Salem” addresses the poor conditions the building has experienced in a fictitious ‘horror movie’ storytelling. The intended audience are those with family in a retirement home, and those who are interested in horror films. They wanted a Movie Poster and Teaser for “Salem.”

The photo is in black and white to imitate old horror films like “Psycho.” The font “Hallowed Grounds” was used for the movie title and the tagline to make it look creepy, and steel tongs so the credits are easily readable. The teaser is without text towards the bottom, so it is unbalanced. Its emptiness gives ominous feeling, whether the space is empty or something unseen is taking up that space.
